Today we went to the Hampstead Library's Madhatter's Tea Party right after Rio's tennis camp.
The other day we went to the weekly Bear Picnic at the newly reopened John Keat's house. They also have an absolutely amazing 100 year old and yummy mulberry tree - guess what we did after the picnic!
And of course, our days are also filled with blackberry picking. This year's crop is amazing. Juicy, sweet and very plentiful. If I only knew how to hunt rabbits and know my mushrooms, we could cut our food bill in half this month, as the Heath is filled with good things to eat.

Now there's a nice tradition to instill in the girls: tea with milk, or is it milk with tea? You can't ever be sure with english tea. Blackberries; Oh yes. Reminds me to go out picking and make my annual batch of jam. 10 lb of berries and 20 lb of sugar. Yummy! Look forward to seeing you all in about two weeks.
Maia all yours memories are gone.....how this is possible, the mushrooms picking every summer, you must known the edible European mushrooms.I still have all the memories. Memories- is a gift.
OK, one summer before is too late we need to go for the real mushroom picking what about meeting place- Wroclaw, at least we need to teach your kids how to survive in wilderness ( you never know what is next) it would be a lot of fun. I love these pictures, we miss you a lot. The proportion for jam is 20 lbs berries and only 10 lbs of sugar, do not fallow your father in law recipe. mama
